Hairstyles for short hair?

I have shoulder length hair that is VERY wavy and poofy, I have a CHI and I straighten it all the time, but what hair styles can I use? If it's possible how can I get spiral curles without frizz and poof?

Put some sort of straightening serum on it before you straighten it, then curl it with a curler?

That will take a while though :/
