Short Scene Styles?

I have short-ish hair and I need to know some scene cuts for it. I've pretty much got the rest down but I'm having trouble finding the right style for me. I straighten my hair regularly and use all the right products to protect it. When my hair gets slightly longer than it is now, it curls like mad. I need some styles that are not too long but not a buzz cut [nothing REAL short]. If you can include different pics, processes, or just input, I'd really appreciate it. And yeah, don't even ask if you're gonna just bash the scene or call me gay [I am. Doesn't insult at all.] But thanks to you all! These are pics of my hair:

if you want to grow your hair, you could opt to get it thinned out like oli sykes and it would be easier to straighten and you wouldn't have to straighten all the time or you could get some top short layers it would help you work with your hair much better.
