Well, I'm going to assume that you are a guy. So, maybe you can put some gel in it and spike it? Or, maybe, a little faux hawk. There's so much you can do with your hair, just play around with it til you find something you like.

Depends how short it is, but you could always part it to the side and put a cute clip in it, like a little barrett or a sparkly bobby pin. Also, if it's long enough, you can flip the ends out instead of just curling it under. Try straightening it for that blunt look , instead of it just being blow dried into a style, or teasing the back portion so that it has a little more body. If all else fails, there's always headbands and hats. Try googling short hair, and checking out the image results.
