Styling short to medium length poofy hair?

When I first wash my hair it lays ok, but if I blow dry it, or let it dry natural it really poofs out as it dries. My hair is very straight and coarse. I've tried serums and straightening irons, the latter works to some extent. But is there a better way of styling my hair to minimize the amount of poofiness? My hair is about 3-6 inches long typically and I was wondering about keeping it on the longer side and just using hot rollers. What do you think? Any advice?

i have the same problem too but my hair is longer...

ok first of all get a detangler comb and comb out your hair in the shower everyday..NEVER BRUSH IT WHEN ITS DRY. It just makes it poof more lol

Also use an anti-frizz conditioner..I like pantene anti-frizz

For Wavy hair-

After the shower while your hair is still wet I apply infusium

and add some gel or hairspray

and thats it just make sure you use a lot of gel or hairspray..which ever one you want..sometimes I use both =]

For Straight hair-

blow it dry and get it straight as possible[[i know it will still poof]]

then use a straitner and straighten it

then use hair spray

but in this hot weather you probably shouldnt sraighten it..but its good for the fall and winter lol

Good luck =]

Hope I helped!!

SUNSILK!!!

Sunsilk has a line called Anti-Poof. You can go to their website for a free sample of their Anti-Poof Shampoo, Conditioner and Style-ing stuff.

If you do use it, make sure that the conditioner is towards the bottom of you hair near the tips, mainly from the roots down (Try to not have it all towards your roots).

Then use the serum stuff.

And if you get the free sample you get some coupons too so you can purchase the normal size.

Here's the site, you get the samples here and you can learn more too, http://www.gethairapy.com/products/detai...
